Val has a BBA in marketing from TCU. With over 30 years' experience in the physical fitness profession, Val has owned her own fitness business for over 20 years and her own Pilates Studio for the last 11 years right here in Gulf Breeze. She has attended and completed her courses with Polestar Pilates, Powerhouse Pilates, and PhysicalMind Institute and has Pilates certification with Pilates Method Alliance. Val also operates and manages the Pilates by Val Instructor Academy (PVIA). The Pilates by Val studio is accredited by the Better Business Bureau, PMA Registry of Teaching Schools, and the PMA. She is a certified PMA instructor.
James Williams, PMA-CPT
James is a graduate of the US Army Physical Fitness School as a Master Fitness Trainer and is certified as a personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise. He graduated from the Special Forces qualification course in 1983 and is proud to wear the Green Beret. Jim attended the Special Operations Medical Sergeant School and is currently in the US Army National Guard with the 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne). He has finished his comprehensive programs with PowerHouse Pilates, PhysicalMind Pilates Institute, and Pilates by Val Instructor Academy and also has Pilates certification by PMA. Jim has been practicing Pilates for 9 years.
Eudora Teixeira, PMA-CPT
Eudora has been practicing Pilates for over 10 years and is a graduate of the Pilates by Val Instructor Academy comprehensive Pilates Instructor Course. Eudora holds a BA in French from the University of Waterloo and a teaching certificate from Brook University. She has a certified building contractor license and is also an accomplished interior designer. She designed our studio!
Teri Stephens, PMA-CPT
Teri received her BA degree from Auburn University and an MEd in Speech/Language Pathology from Columbus University. She has over 30 years’ experience in educational, acute, and rehabilitative settings. In October 2015 she enrolled in Pilates instruction to improve her balance. Teri loves Pilates and appreciates what it has done for her balance and overall fitness. Her ambition is to become an instructor who can assist others in improving their own physical fitness through the Pilates program.
